  1. Do I have to provide my own boxes?
    No, but we strongly recommend it! Our boxes are double walled, have never been used and are super sturdy. Plus we send them right to your address! You may use your own boxes but remember to pack up securely and make sure they are not too weak to hold up to 45lbs.
  2. When can I get supplies so that I can pack my stuff?
    We will send them right to school. When you place your order you will enter your campus address so we can mail our Moving Kit right to you! These will be sent out approx. a week before move out, so sign up as early as you can. Moving Kits take about 4-5 days to arrive.

  3. What dates can I get my belongings picked up?

  4. Do I need to be present when my stuff is picked up?
    Yes. All customers must be present at the time of pickup and drop-off.
  5. Is there a limit to the amount of boxes I can store?
    There is no limit. We do require a minimum purchase of $150 per order which ensures in room pick up and in room redelivery!
  6. Will my items be insured?
    All packages stored or shipped in a Student Sherpas box will be insured for up to $100. Electronics and fragile items will only be insured to this value if they are packaged in their original packaging. Additional insurance is available upon request for a minimal charge.
  7. Will I need to help bring the boxes down to the truck?
    No way! The Sherpas come right up to your door. You won't have to lift a finger.
  8. Do I have to box my items myself?
    Yes. Unfortunately, there just isn't time for us to do the packing too... but we do offer some packing tips to guide you through the process.
  9. Can my items be picked up on any date that I prefer?
    Sort of... We offer certain dates for pickups and you can pick any day and 4-hour time window available within that period. Try to schedule your services in advance, though, because once a time-slot fills up, we block it off.
  10. How can I get a price quote?
    The price list is your best bet for an accurate quote for storage items. Shipping prices vary significantly depending on size of items and the distance they will be sent. For an accurate shipping quote, you can send us an email or give us a call.
  11. Is there a store I can visit?

    While we started this company in order to serve the University community, we are a privately owned company operating independently of the school itself.
